I got emails from Kristin and Kwin today. I love them both so much and I miss them so much! They are such amazing examples to me.
I was a little bummed I didn't get any letters from the family this week.(I sent her 2 packages and a letter) Then I remembered that I got a package earlier this week with some SERIOUSLY AMAZING chocolates and that Maegan and Dan were coming into town this week so that's probably been so fun for you all! Shout out to Pascal for the dearelder! Thank you, I'll write you back this afternoon.
I actually remembered to bring my journal with me today to write emails so hopefully I'll remember all I wanted to share with you. First page from this week says in big letters I LOVE MY MOM!! Those chocolates for my baby missionaries were so darling. Thank you so much! And we ate the leftovers in like two days so thank you thank you!! You are the greatest for sure. We had a devotional with Elder Russell M Nelson and his wife this past week. Amazing. They both shared this wonderful message about how people on both sides of the veil are pushing to help us. It reminded me of the advice dad shared with me at my setting apart. The ancestors and posterity of those we're going to teach are there with us, directing us and prompting us because they love their family! And it just takes one to change everything for everyone past and present. Love that! Family History work is super important to teach people about because the Spirit of Elijah is real!
The French babies came this week! Seems like they've already been here ages. So some big lessons in humility this week. Most of them have had 5 years of French so the Soeurs will come up to me and be like Comment blah doo bee blah? And I just stare at them and ask them to repeat that question again in English please. Haha oh wow. I know so little but have come a little ways! I memorized James 1:5! I'm just super slow at learning and it takes me awhile to figure things out but I'm getting there I think. Still can't understand anything our investigators say. Haha I catch a random Dieu or Prophete in there but that's about it. It'll come. I'm trying to develop greater hope and it'll come. At least it'll come enough to do what I need to do to help the Lord if I'm diligent and stay positive.
I pretty much live for devotions. They are the greatest. We did our first TRC (Training Resource Center) where volunteers who speak the language come and we teach them as if they are members. Its pretty sweet. So grateful to those who come and are willing to talk to us or let us attempt to speak the language.
I love my instructors, Soeur Dix and Frere Portwood. I'm learning to love the resource teachers. They are really trying to help us the best way they know how. I've signed up for lots of extra help this week so lets hope I can work hard and it'll all work out!

I got super nervous that we're half done with the MTC on Wednesday. So crazy! Kind of terrifying because I don't feel ready but I have three more weeks so that's great! I think I lied. I got a letter from Maegan on Monday maybe? I'll have to go find it and I'll write her back.
Soeur Dix is amazing. Her father was diagnosed with terminal cancer while she was on her mission, she chose to finish her mission and was able to spend some time with him because he died last year. She shared this killer lesson/testimony about the Plan of Salvation. We could all feel how much she believed it and that she had really studied it. Love her so much and loved that lesson.
I'm learning to be more in tuned with the Spirit. I'm learning how to be humble and do whatever the Lord needs me to do. I thought I was doing ok till I got here and realized how much room there is to grow. Its amazing. I'm so thrilled to be able to start this journey of dedicating my life to the Lord more fully. I love Him. I love my Heavenly Father. They both love us SO much it amazes me. I miss you all but I really love it here and love to be learning. I pray for you every night and morning. Sometimes, I even manage to make it through a whole prayer in French (gift of tongues or super tired misunderstanding of the language :).
Love, Soeur Tribe
Forgot to mention, I LOVE the babies! Even though they scare me. :) I've gotten to know them all more this week and I love them! They are amazing and have some awesome stories for conversion faith and hope. They are great examples to me. I have been praying to feel God's love for them and I truly have been given that gift more and more. Thrilled to be able to get to know them and serve them.
At night, we're starving. Haha so we sometimes so grab food out of the vending machines and feast on microwave Hot Pockets, burritos and pizzas.
Eating Mexican candy that Soeur Herrera's mom sent her. Glad I'm not going to Mexico :)
