So, transfer call. Surprise! I'm staying! Sister Murdoch is going home. I could cry. I probably will. Sister Leano is going to be my new companion! She's been on the mission for about...9 months? She and Sister Munive were in the MTC together. Sister Flores is going to Greenfield Park (English on the island) and Sister Munive is staying and TRAINING! There is going to be a greenie in the apartment! Yay!
On a happy sidenote, Sister Munive and I will probably be together for the rest of my mission.
There are like 47 missionaries going home between this week and the next transfer. That's like more then a 1/4th of our mission. Its going to be so weird. We have like 20ish missionaries coming in this next transfer and it is rumored that there will be that many coming in the next transfer to. So pretty much everyone will be training. Oh la la. The mission is in transition.
So the language......is coming. Kind of. I'm learning a lot about patience. I don't really like that. Haha just kidding. I LOVE it! I just don't always enjoy the lesson while I'm in it. I'm realizing that things I thought I was doing well, like my accent, are really not that good. So even when I get the grammar right, no one understands or they think I said something else. Luckily, my new companion is suppose to be pretty good at French. So hopefully, she can help me! And that she's really patient. I still feel more like SISTER Tribe and not really like SOEUR Tribe. One day maybe. Hopefully. I really just need to throw myself into the language more. Yay. That'll be good.
Today we went to Old Terrebonne, which is the cutest thing ever. There is a giant park there and I didn't even know it was there. We drive by it all the time but we've never gone! Also, there is an awesome chocolate shop right by our house. That has soft serve ice cream cones. With good chocolate to dip them in. And there's a gelato shop. Good thing we don't have any klicks for our car so Sister Leano and I will be on bikes for the rest of the month!
Sister Munive and I have determined to be healthy. Our apartment is going to be a "healthy" apartment as much as we can help it. So TurboJam every morning and lots of veggies! Because heaven only knows we can't control what we eat at dinner appointments. Its always so good. Its just so much food. Oh la la. I'm determined to loose some weight before I get home. Canada.
Well, we need to go soon.
Check out the super cool new Mormon Message:
